We want to keep you as informed and prepared as possible regarding mortgage relief options. If you are experiencing financial hardship due to the coronavirus COVID-19 click here to learn more about the Federal CARES Act mortgage forbearance.
Please note that the government’s forbearance program is not a payment forgiveness program. The program will pause your payments, but payments will need to be repaid at the end of the forbearance plan. So, if you are approved to skip three months of mortgage payments, on the fourth month, fourth payments would be due at that time (the three skipped payments plus the current month’s payment). If you are seeking a forbearance plan, continue making your mortgage payments until your forbearance plan has been approved.
