UCCU Board Member, Carine Clark, named 2022 Pillar of the Valley

UCCU is proud to recognize board member, Carine Clark, as 2022 Pillar of the Valley award recipient.

According to the Utah Valley Chamber of Commerce, “The Pillar of the Valley award honors an individual or individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the business, civic, social, educational, and cultural climate of Utah Valley.”

More about Carine Clark

Carine Clark is a three-time president and CEO of high-growth tech companies, specializing in helping companies scale from $10 million to $100 million or more. Her reputation as a data-driven marketing executive at Novell, Altiris and Symantec opened doors to lead Allegiance, MartizCX and Banyan as president and CEO. Carine serves as the chair of GOEO (The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Opportunity) and on the executive board of Silicon Slopes, a non-profit helping Utah’s tech community thrive. Currently she’s the executive chair of the board for Domo.

Carine is also an independent director for Nelnet Bank, an independent board member for Serial 1, and recently joined the Harley Davidson ebike company. She has received numerous awards also including the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year® Award in the Utah Region and Utah Business Magazine’s CEO of the Year. In 2021 she was named Outstanding Director for a Public Company by the National Association of Corporate Directors Utah. Carine earned a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications and an MBA from Brigham Young University.

UCCU’s Board of Directors is accountable to the members of Utah Community Credit Union. They are also tasked with the ongoing challenge of balancing UCCU’s commitment to our community and environment. They also have the ability to make sound financial decisions. 

As such, board member responsibilities include the following:

  • Establishment of corporate goals.
  • The approval of major financial decisions
  • Financial statements
  • Corporate strategies
  • The allocation of major resources
  • The representation of UCCU in the community
  • Supervising of the operations of the credit union.
