Canadian Check Policy
Starting July 1, 2024, UCCU will discontinue accepting Canadian checks. This adjustment allows us to prioritize the safety of your funds while also ensuring you quicker access to your money.
What Does This Mean for You?
If you previously deposited Canadian checks, fear not! We’re here to guide you through this transition and offer fast alternative solutions to meet your needs. Listed below are active options that UCCU offers to help transfer money across international borders.
- Wire Transfers: Opt for the convenience and security of a wire transfer. Whether in U.S. dollars or Canadian dollars, our staff is here to provide you with the necessary instructions to facilitate the transfer seamlessly.
- ACH Transfers: Another hassle-free option is an ACH transfer. Share your full account number and UCCU’s routing number (324377820) with the sender to initiate the transfer effortlessly.
- Checks from U.S. Banks: We will continue to accept checks from U.S. banks in U.S. dollars. Simply process these checks as usual, with no special handling required.
- Canadian Checks will still be accepted at UCCU branches until end of day on June 30, 2024.

Does UCCU accept any foreign check deposits?
Utah Community Credit Union does not accept checks issued from any other foreign countries, whether they are issued in U.S. dollars or a foreign currency. Additionally, UCCU does not accept any check issued in a foreign currency, even if the issuing bank is located in the United States.
