I’m the son of an Air Force Colonel or more commonly known as an Air Force Brat. My dad retired in Utah and it has been my home for 40 years. Currently, I live in American Fork, and my wife and 5 kids have called that home for 21 years! I love Utah and spend my free time skiing, golfing, hiking, or spending time outdoors at one of the spectacular locations are state has to offer.
I started working in the finance industry in 1993 and moved into mortgages full-time in 2002. During my time I’ve seen large swings in interest rates as well as unprecedented changes in the industry as a whole. I increased my knowledge during this time by getting the highest lender rating in the broker industry of Lending Manager. In addition, I didn’t limit my range of lending in Utah and have worked with borrowers in many states to help them buy a home or refinance.
I found my way to UCCU in 2014 and am now working as a Sales Manager for the mortgage department. UCCU’s mortgage department was the perfect fit for me. We differ from other lenders with an in-house underwriting team, and processing team, as well as keeping all of our conventional mortgages which is extremely convenient for our members. This team has become family and we do whatever we need to help each other succeed.
Helping borrowers with their mortgage lending needs has brought me great joy. Whether it is helping someone get into their dream home or saving them money on a refinance, it gives me great satisfaction to know I have helped someone. Because of this, I have won monthly honors for customer satisfaction along with a top-producing loan officer.
