Mortgage Loan Officer
NMLS # 296421
Growing up in Vineyard, Utah Mike Christensen always understood the value of hard work and dedication. His early days were spent working on his family farm. He gained his strong work ethic as he knew he would be responsible to milk the cows before he went to school and again before he could go to bed. Aside from learning the value of hard work, Mike was taught the importance of money and the value of budgeting. He was always taught that you don’t buy something unless you can pay cash for it. Although there are a few exceptions to this, Mike has lived by this idea and has found that he has been able to navigate many ups and downs in the economy as a result of this standard of living.
Mike and his wife started Lexington Mortgage and ran a successful mortgage business for 18 years. During this time, Mike helped hundreds of individuals learn the skills needed to address credit issues, budgeting and the steps to home ownership. This knowledge and experience was transferred to UCCU in November of 2012 as he joined the Mortgage Department as a Senior Mortgage loan officer. Mike has consistently been one of the top producers and he feels that it is in part due to the wonderful members at UCCU. Over the years, Mike has been fortunate to help many on the path to home ownership and in return has forged many friendships that he hopes to continue for a long time. Mike takes pride in every loan transaction he is involved with and rarely has had a transaction he hasn’t been able to close. He considers it a success when past clients stop to say hello when they are in the branch for other banking transactions.
Mike resides in Springville with his wife and 3 children. While he is not busy helping his loan transactions go through, he is enjoying time at Lake Powell, golfing or watching sports.
